There are loads of ways to eat sauerkraut but the most important thing to note is that you don’t need to cook it. In fact we recommend NOT including it in hot recipes to maintain the good microbes.

Instead an easy way to eat sauerkraut is first thing in the morning with your scrambled eggs or an omelette. Eggs and sauerkraut are a super starter combo!


Keep your sauerkraut refrigerated before and after the lid seal is broken. Sauerkraut that is not refrigerated when you buy it is not the healthy kind – all the beneficial bacterial disappears if its not in the fridge.
