One of the best foods good for the gut you can find in Australia is our sauerkraut. There’s billions of beneficial microbes in this one jar Garlic Sauerkraut. Containing 7 Million lactic acid bacteria of Colony Forming Units in every teaspoon means a little goes a long way.

Based on market fresh red cabbages from Australian farmers, our sauerkraut with garlic is a crunchy explosion of flavour. Red cabbages are loaded with a special phytonutrient called anthocyanins which have a load of health benefits. Apart from supporting our farmers we believe it’s superior quality and taste – which makes all the difference to the flavour of our Sauerkraut Garlic Goodness.

At The Fermentier we choose a wild fermentation process. This means our sauerkraut is started by the naturally occurring bacteria on the cabbage leaves. It. Is also unpasteurised to keep the good live microbes. We avoid adding vinegar and other preservatives, it’s all pure and raw, plus 100% vegan.

One serve is recommended everyday by Clinical Dietitian and Nutritionist Tania Wiesmayr-Freeman. She has developed the perfect recipe so it’s easy to incorporate the benefits of raw fermented foods into your daily routine.

Fresh is best when it comes to Sauerkraut. Keep it refrigerated before and after the lid seal is broken. If you see sauerkraut for sale on a shelf that is not refrigerated then we advise you to avoid it like the plague - the beneficial bacterial is dead.
